H-2A Temporary Worker - Agricultural Work Visa

The H-2A visa is an employment based visa in the United States that permits entry into the country for seasonal agricultural work. When agricultural employers anticipate a shortage of domestic workers for short term harvesting or other types of agricultural work, the H-2A temporary workers program allows non-immigrant foreign workers to enter the country to fill the gap. Employers of H-2A workers must follow certain rules and guidelines in order to be in compliance with immigration law. For example, U.S. workers must be recruited and given precedence to foreign workers. Laws governing wages, piece rates and hourly rates must be followed. Housing and meals, transportation and tools are items that must be supplied according to the law.

A Dallas immigration attorney practicing in Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton and Tyler can help you lawfully procure the skilled workers you need. Hiring foreign workers is not a simple matter and many questions arise when planning for your particular needs. Let the skilled and experienced team at Mathur Law Offices answer your questions and handle the legalities so you can devote your attention to your business and its prosperity.
